AWANA
The Awana program is held on Tuesday nights from 6:20-8:00 during the school year. Our goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. Each Awana night consists of singing, handbook time, a Bible lessons and game time for three age groups:

Cubbies: Preschool
Lots of fun and an introduction to God’s Word for preschoolers, Cubbies encourages these little ones to begin to make scripture a part of their lives through parent-child activities.

Sparks: Grade K to 2
A time of friendship building and the gospel message, Sparks teaches children about Jesus through games and introduces small peer-group interaction.

T&T – Grade 3 to 6
T&T (standing for “Truth and Training”) leads kids into a deeper relationship with God and teaches them to reach out to others through mission projects. We support a club in Ukraine through the Awana Adopt-a-Club program. On the first Tuesday of each month, the children are encouraged to bring a missionary offering to help support this project.

Annual Highlights:

  • Grand Prix car races and Regatta boat races
  • Winterfest takes place in January at the Harrison Park Community Centre. Tobogganing, ice skating, snow football and the warmth of the fireplace are enjoyed along with great fellowship and lunch.
  • May Awards Night where the boys and girls are rewarded for all their hard work over the year.

We are blessed with the faithful help of our leaders. Please continue to pray for this important program and if you would like to help as a leader, please contact Tim Chambers.

Youth Group
Youth group runs on Wednesday nights throughout the school year from  7:00 – 9:00 pm for teens in Grade 7-12 . The mission of South End’s youth group is to glorify God by winning people to Jesus Christ and equipping them to be more faithful disciples. Youth night is fun and challenging with games, worship, a Bible lesson and small groups. We hope you will come and check us out.

We also offer after-school discipleship with Pastor Chad on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, monthly service nights where we go out and serve together in the community, and monthly Friday night fun nights.

To learn about this ministry, contact Pastor Chad Gordon.

Sunday School for All Ages
Sunday School runs on Sunday mornings from 10:00 – 10:45 am during the school year. We have a number of age-appropriate classes with teachers who desire to teach with excellence. Highlights of the year include contests, a Christmas program, and an Easter program. There is something for everyone who seeks to study God’s Word and know Him better.

Community Groups
Community Groups are a chance for you to meet weekly with a small group of other South Enders for fellowship, prayer and reflection on that week’s sermon. See Pastor Chad Gordon to be placed with a group.
Women's Ministries

All Pink
This South End ladies’ group meets once a month. Our times together include learning from God’s Word, hearing about interesting practical topics, and having a chance to unwind and visit with one another over coffee and snacks. Women of all ages are invited, and a nursery will be provided for those who need it.

Grateful Hearts
We meet every other Thursday at 7:00 pm for a wonderful time of fellowship as we work on different projects to bless our community. Our meetings begin with a devotional followed by prayer. Some of our activities have include: assembling emergency toiletry bags; collecting used clothing; making lap robes; and crocheting afghans, receiving blankets and baby toques. These items are delivered to local hospitals, pregnancy centres, women’s crisis centre, and nursing homes. Tuck shop items are donated for local camps and the Cornerstone Youth Drop-In Centre. God provides workers with a wide range of talents. Would YOU consider joining our group that blesses and is blessed?
