“ the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.“
– Ephesians 4:16
Ministries of South End
South End’s Women’s Ministry holds events every quarter. Our times together include learning from God’s Word, hearing about interesting practical topics, and having a chance to unwind and visit with one another over coffee and snacks. Women of all ages are invited, and a nursery will be provided for those who need it.
A group of ladies meet every other Thursday at 7:00 pm for a wonderful time of fellowship as we work on different projects to bless our community. Our meetings include a devotional followed by prayer and various activities such as: assembling emergency toiletry bags; collecting used clothing; making lap robes; and crocheting afghans, receiving blankets and baby toques. These items are delivered to local hospitals, pregnancy centres, women’s crisis centre, and nursing homes.
The primary focus of our men’s ministry is to encourage and build men up through Jesus Christ. As men our lives are often busy, and we appreciate the sacrifice and commitment that each man makes to his family and so we plan to have quarterly events that will make an impact on those that attend.
If you are interested in being a part of this ministry, or are looking for a dynamic way to connect and be encouraged, we hope you will attend one of our coming events and reach out to the leadership team.

Sunday School runs on Sunday mornings from 10:00 – 10:45am throughout the months of September – June. We have a number of age-appropriate classes with teachers who desire to teach with excellence. Highlights of the year include contests, a Christmas program, and an Easter program. There is something for everyone who seeks to study God’s Word and know Him better.
Prayer is the foundation of what we do at South End. We no longer hold a weekly prayer meeting at the church.
Instead, we focus on making prayer an important part of our life groups and we also send out notifications of urgent request via smartphone app.
If you have musical abilities or technical abilities for the sound system or computer worship system, we’d love to have you join our team! Currently, practices are at 9:00am on Sunday mornings. Contact Bethany Matthews or Edward Stranks for more information.
South End Kids
Your family is important to us.
That’s why we have taken every effort to make sure that your children are safe, have fun, and learn about Jesus. Our nurseries have capable workers that engage with your children and simply love to be there. Our diligent Sunday School teachers not only bring the Bible to life, but they share God’s truths in ways that will be relevant to your child, and our Awana program helps reinforce accurate teaching about God and gets the life-changing truth of the Bible into their hearts through memorization. During the worship services held on Sundays, the kids are invited to their own service in the lower auditorium for Worship Kidstyle.
South End Youth
We also offer after-school discipleship with Pastor Chad on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, monthly service nights where we go out and serve together in the community, and we also do special events throughout the year together.
